Filming and Photography on the Dartmouth Campus
Dartmouth permits news photography and filming by professional news reporting services on the Dartmouth campus. In order to maintain an environment conducive to teaching and learning, we ask all media to notify the Dartmouth Office of Communications prior to entering campus.
- Commercial filming is not permitted anywhere on campus. (No permit is required for student and faculty projects.)
- News media are not permitted inside classrooms, dining halls, libraries, dormitories, and other interior spaces.
- Permission must be obtained in advance from students who appear in wide shots on campus.
- News media are free to photograph and film on public sidewalks and on the Hanover Green.
