The Department of Energy announced implementation of a 15% facilities and administrative rate (also known as indirect costs) for all institutions. In response, Dartmouth submitted a declaration under oath outlining the harm this would cause the institution that was included in a lawsuit filed by the American Association of Universities and other plaintiffs in ongoing legal proceedings.

Dartmouth began collaborating with the New Hampshire congressional delegation to address issues related to SEVIS record terminations affecting a few Dartmouth community members.

Provost David Kotz ’86 shared an update with faculty, staff, and students about federal immigration actions, including that a few Dartmouth community members were impacted by unexplained SEVIS records terminations. Earlier in the day, Director of the Office of Visa and Immigration Services Susan Ellison sent a similar but more specific message directly to international students, faculty, and staff.
